CAIRO – 4 July 2017: The Polish Chamber of Commerce Association and the Egyptian Commercial Office in Warsaw organized an economic cooperation conference to discuss the means of developing joint economic relations on Tuesday.

More than 100 Egyptian and Polish companies attended the conference. Among the participants was the Egyptian ambassador to Poland Hossam El-Kaweish, and two representatives from the Polish Ministries of Development and Foreign Affairs.

According to the Polish governmental announcement on Tuesday, initiating procedures to establish an Egyptian-Polish chamber of commerce in Warsaw were already agreed upon during a previous visit from the Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil to the Eastern European country.

El-Kaweish highlighted the importance of boosting economic and trade relations within the upcoming period, affirming the importance of joint business chambers.

Representatives from the Development and Foreign Affairs Ministries asserted Polish government support for this initiative. This event will be followed by a visit from Polish President Andrzej Duda to Cairo by the end of 2017.

This initial progress is an extension to the success of Kabil’s previous visit to Poland.

The initial establishment of a joint commerce chamber will generate mutual trade exchange amounting to over $1 billion. In addition, Poland plans to establish large investment projects in Egypt, the Commercial Diplomatic Counselor Abdel Aziz El Sherif said from Warsaw.
