CAIRO – 26 June 2017: Qatari opposition activist Mona al-Sulaiti claimed that her brother, Qatari Minister of Communication and Transportation Jasim Saif Ahmad al-Sulaiti, was in charge of providing weapons to terrorist groups in Egypt when former Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi was in power.

In an interview with Saudi newspaper Alriyadh on Sunday, Sulaiti asserted that her brother is carrying out “policies of Israeli agenda against Arab and Muslim states.”

She alleged that the Amiri Diwan of Qatar, the Royal Palace, is not only supporting Iran and Israeli policies but also works as a supreme administration to all terrorist groups based in Qatar.

Sulaiti also claimed that Israel and Iran’s elements have clearly existed in Qatar for a long time and receive support from the Qatari government.

She accused the Amiri Diwan of Qatar of funding terrorist groups, exposing Qatari Amir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani as being a follower of his parents’ (Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Sheikha Mozah ) policies. She described them as major supporter of militant groups, linked to al-Qaeda, Israel, the hardline terrorist Taliban movement, the Houthi rebel movement in Yemen and the designated-terrorist group the Muslim Brotherhood.

Al-Sulaiti said that she resorted to leave Qatar after her human rights were breached. Her university degree was withdrawn and she was arrested, then she felt that she did not belong to Qatar as long as her staying there put her life and future in danger.
