CAIRO – 23 June 2017: Leakage of the 13 Arab demands submitted to Qatar shows how deep the Arab-Qatari rift is, the UAE Foreign Minister Anwar Gargash said on Friday.

Gargash wrote on his official Twitter account that the leakage of the demands’ list by the Qatari side reflects the reconciliation meditation failure. “The leakage will further exasperate & prolong the Qatar crisis. Undermining serious diplomacy will lead to parting of ways,” Gargash noted.

He demanded Qatar to reconsider seeking solutions via Tehran, Ankara, Beirut, western countries or media outlets. He stressed “the only option to restore trust is via Qatar’s neighbors and region.”

Gargash manifested that Arab nations cannot accept Qatar’s insistence on funding terrorism and providing media and political umbrella for extremism in the region. He described the demands’ leakage as a “callous” act by the Qatari administration.
