ABU DHABI - 16 November 2019: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's two-day visit to the UAE last week established a new phase of partnership and cooperation between the two countries, said UAE newspaper Al Bayan on Saturday.

The final communique of the visit underlined close viewpoints shared by both countries towards regional issues, added the newspaper.

The newspaper added that strong Egyptian-UAE relations are in no need of assertion, adding that challenges that are currently facing Arab countries require coordination.

It highlighted president Sisi's frequent confirmation that the Arab Gulf's security is a red line and an integral part of Egypt's security.

The newspaper said that the visit saw the inking of three cooperation agreements along with introducing a $20bn platform for strategic investment.
