CAIRO - 11 September 2019: The National Youth Conference set to be launched on Saturday September 14th will discuss the issue of terrorism and the fourth generation warfare against the state, local media revealed.

The fourth generation warfare dates back to 1980 and can be defined simply as a conflict where politics is mixed with war and combatants are mixed with civilians.

The NYC has been receiving since Tuesday registration requests from people willing to attend its 8th edition in Cairo's Fifth Settlement district, in the presence of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

People who want to receive an invitation to attend the conference can register on egyouth.com.

The conference also started receiving citizens' questions that President Sisi will answer during the session of "Ask the President". Citizens can send questions on Askthepresident.net until Friday.

The one-day conference will be divided into three sessions - a session that would assess the local and regional experience of combating terrorism, a session on the impact of spreading lies on the state in light of the fourth generation warfare, and finally the "Ask the President" session.

The conference is set to be attended by 1,600 participants. Those include members of the Presidential Leadership Program (PLP), university students, young politicians, young engineers working in national projects, young physicians, and young businessmen.

The seventh edition of the NYC was attended by 1,500 participants and was held in the New Administrative Capital. The event hosted the commencement of the first class of the African Presidential Leadership Program (APLP).
