Sudanese people chant slogans as they celebrate, after Sudan's ruling military council and a coalition of opposition and protest groups reached an agreement to share power during a transition period leading to elections, along the streets of Khartoum, Sud

CAIRO - 5 July 2019: Egypt fully supports efforts meant to attaining stability and security in Sudan for the best interest of the Sudanese people, said Egyptian Ambassador in Khartoum Hossam Eissa.

During a meeting with a delegation of the coalition of Sudanese youth revolutionaries the ambassador reviewed Egypt's efforts to maintain contacts with all political powers in Sudan in order to get acquainted with their views on the arrangements of the transitional period.

Ambassador Eissa highlighted Egyptian efforts in this regard at the level of the African Union, in light of its current presidency of the Union. He also reviewed its efforts at the regional and international levels to offer support for the Sudanese people.

Meanwhile, members of the coalition expounded their initiative that aim at expediting setting up a civilian government that will seek achieving the goals of the revolution.
