CAIRO, June 24 (MENA) - The Manpower Committee of the House of Representatives approved on Monday State Council remarks as regards a bill setting a minimum ceiling to periodic raises given to civil servants under the Civil Service Law.

The parliament approved on Saturday the articles of the bill but then the State Council legislation department made some remarks concerning the wording of the bill.

The bill has set a minimum of 75 pounds monthly to maximize benefit from raises.

It also maintains a minimum seven percent periodic raise to be given to civil servants.

Non civil servants should, under the bill, receive a 10 percent raise as of June 30.
