CAIRO – 2 June 2019: Chairman of Al-Wafd Party Bahaa al-Din Abu Shoka has stressed that Human Rights Watch (HRW) relies on fake and fabricated information from Muslim Brotherhood sources and media in an attempt to demean the Egyptian state.

In press remarks, Abu Shoka further said HRW does not dare to publish real reports, as it seeks to publish fake information to spread chaos in stable communities.

Human Rights Watch issued a report on Egypt regarding the situation in Sinai, a report that was deemed by experts unreasonable and unfounded.

Lacking all standards of logic and neutrality, HRW gave no evidences for its allegations against the Egyptian forces, narrating one-sided opinion for the events, with no credible sources or documents.

“A move is a must against such organizations that seek through their fake reports to destabilize communities and spread chaos in Egypt,” Abu Shoka stressed, pointing out that all attempts to hinder the progress of the Egyptian state are doomed to fail.

Over the past five years, HRW’s reports on the situation in Egypt and specifically in Sinai depended on sources provided by the Muslim Brotherhood.
