CAIRO – 1 June 2019: Security expert Mohamed Attiya said a recent report by Human Rights Watch (HRW) exposed bad intentions to defame Egypt.

The security expert told Egypt Today in an interview that such organizations that are being funded by countries and organizations that seek to destabilize Egypt such as Qatar and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Human Rights Watch issued a report on Egypt regarding the situation in Sinai, a report that was deemed by experts unreasonable and unfounded.

Lacking all standards of logic and neutrality, HRW gave no evidences for its allegations against the Egyptian forces, narrating one-sided opinion for the events, with no credible sources or documents.

Such organizations should be exposed and stopped instead of letting it issue reports that are based on completely fake data and information for the sake of supporting terrorism and terrorist operations.

In the same context, Major General Emad Mahrous, a security expert, said that the Egyptian armed forces and security authorities succeeded in destroying the infrastructure of terrorist organizations and groups in Sinai and restore normal life and peace for citizens.

“HRW became an arm to aid terrorist organizations and groups, issuing its reports and fake analysis in line with movements and schemes of these groups,” Mahrous added.

Meanwhile, Major General Essam Nassar said that Egypt is facing a fierce war not to mention another one through social media websites, that became hotbeds for sowing sedition and spreading rumors.

He also said HRW’s false reports reveal its true devious intentions towards the Egyptian state.

Over the past five years, HRW’s reports on the situation in Egypt and specifically in Sinai depended on sources provided by the Muslim Brotherhood.
