Cypriot FM hails strong relations with Egypt

CAIRO, May 14 (MENA) - Cypriot Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides has hailed strong relations and growing cooperation with Egypt in different fields.

He made the remarks during an Iftar banquet hosted by Egypt's Ambassador in Nicosia Mai Taha. It was attended by the Cypriot parliament speaker, the ministers of defense, communications and transport, in addition to a large number of foreign ambassadors accredited to Cyprus.

During the event, the Cypriot foreign minister expressed his appreciation of close and ongoing coordination with Egypt in various issues of common concern.

For her part, the Egyptian ambassador said Cairo is keen on fostering relations with Nicosia and pursuing joint coordination, with a view to reviewing means of promoting bilateral cooperation in several areas.
