CAIRO – 25 February 2019: Secretary of Fatah’s Revolutionary Council Fayez Abu Eita praised Egypt’s supporting of the Palestinians’ right to an independent state during the European Union-Arab League summit.

In remarks to MENA, Abu Eita said that "Egypt’s stance is no strange for a country that led the Arab and Islamic region’s struggle, and still carries the burden of the Arab region, especially the Palestinian cause."

He further expressed his hope for Egypt to lead a political pressure on the international society to confront any deals or solutions that would breach the Palestinians’ national rights.

“Egypt has always been a real support for the Palestinian people and leadership in the face of the Israeli occupation and conspiracies that face the Palestinian cause,” Abu Eita added.

He also assured that the Palestinian people and President Mahmoud Abbas will remain resistant and will confront the siege led by the Far-right government of Benjamin Netanyahu.
