CAIRO – 11 November 2018: Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry affirmed on Sunday Egypt's commitment to the security and stability of the Gulf as an integral part of Egypt's national security, while rejecting and confronting any external interference.

This comes during his meeting with Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa in Manama; it is scheduled that Shoukry heads the tenth session of the joint Egyptian-Bahraini committee, according to a statement issued by presidential spokesperson Ahmed Hafez.

Shoukry stressed Egypt’s keenness for a joint cooperation between the two countries such as investment, energy entrepreneurship, as well as technical and financial technology services within the framework of Egypt 2030 Vision for Sustainable Development and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.

From his side, the Bahraini prime minister praised the strength of Bahraini-Egyptian ties and the distinguished level of cooperation in a way that reflects the strength of bilateral ties.

He also stressed the keenness of the Bahraini leadership to intensify consultation and coordination mechanisms with Egypt.

They affirmed during the meeting their adherence to the 13 demands and the six principles of the four leading countries to combat terrorism as a basis for resolving the crisis with Qatar. They stressed that all Qatari attempts to circumvent these demands would only prolong the crisis.
