CAIRO – 23 October 2018: The governor of North Sinai, Abul Fadil Shosha, said Monday that the whole peninsula will be safe like the rest of the Egyptian governorates by the end of the current year 2018.

Shosha added in a phone call with dmc satellite channel that his expectations are based on the current successful military campaign against the terrorists’ hideouts in the peninsula.

The governor said that he was tasked by the Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al Sisi to restart the development projects in Sinai, adding that Arish port is set to operate soon.

Shosha revealed that the ban on the building materials and the gas products in North Sinai was recently lifted, pointing out that the citizens will receive their essential needs.

“The State is about to launch a comprehensive development plan in Sinai during the upcoming period, in order to replace instability and chaos with social progress,” said Shosha.
