KUWAIT CITY - 12 October 2018: Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah said the Middle Eastern coalition is capable of confronting challenges facing the Arab region, which he said is in need for such alliances.
Jarallah made the remarks in response to a question by MENA on the sidelines of a celebration held by the Spanish Embassy in Kuwait to mark Spain’s National Day, which falls on Friday.
The Middle Eastern coalition was created upon a US proposal to establish an alliance in the region at several levels, including the security, military and economic ones, he said.
The coalition, which comprises countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Egypt and Jordan, aims to protect the interests of its member states, Jarallah noted.
