CAIRO – 28 September 2018: Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi returned to Cairo on Friday after participating in the UN General Assembly 73rd meetings.

This is Sisi’s fifth participation in the UNGA since assuming office in June 2014. According to the testimonies of several presidents, Egypt’s foreign policies have witnessed significant change regionally and globally since 2014.

Sisi addressed on Tuesday several topics during the speech he gave at the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly at the UN’s headquarters in New York.

CAIRO - 25 September 2018: Amid his high-level meetings as part of the week-long United Nations General Assembly 73rd meeting in New York, Egypt's President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi on Monday met with U.S. President Donald Trump for the fourth time since Trump came to power.



On Wednesday, he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his residence in New York. Sisi stressed the importance of resuming the negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis in order to reach a just and comprehensive resolution based on a two-state solution, in accordance with international treaties, presidential spokesman Bassam Radi stated.

CAIRO - 27 September 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received on Sept. 26 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his residence in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session.



He also met on Wednesday with President of Boeing International Bertrand-Marc Allen at his residence in New York, Radi said. Sisi asserted to Allen Egypt's keenness on continuing cooperation with Boeing International in various domains, especially in regards to the transfer of expertise and advanced technology.

This came during his meeting with President of Boeing International Bertrand-Marc Allen at his residence in New York where he is attending annual meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, Presidency Spokesman Bassam Radi said.




Moreover, Sisi met on Tuesday with his Jordanian counterpart, King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein II, on the sidelines of the week-long UNGA 73rd meeting in New York.

According to a statement issued by the presidency, both leaders discussed several issues of mutual concern.

On Monday, Sisi met with the Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov in New York. The meeting tackled ways of boosting bilateral relations and promoting cooperation in the economic and security fields, Radi said in a statement.

NEW YORK - 25 September 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi on Monday met with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov in New York on the sidelines of the the 73rd meetings of the United Nations General Assembly. The meeting tackled ways of boosting bilateral relations and promoting cooperation in the economic and security fields, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement.




He also held a meeting with Cypriot counterpart Nicos Anastasiades on Monday. Sisi also met with members of the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) and a number of prominent and influential decision-makers in the United States over a dinner banquet on Monday night.

On Sunday, he met with President of the European Council Donald Tusk and Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry and Head of the General Intelligence Directorate Abbas Kamel.

Sisi affirmed Egypt's keenness on fostering various aspects of cooperation with the European Union especially since they share a common interest in confronting challenges facing the Mediterranean region, Radi said in a statement.

Tusk and Kurz, for their part, showed keenness in continuing intensive coordination and consultation with Egypt on all issues of common concern and enhancing bilateral cooperation at all levels due to Egypt's regional status, Radi added.

They touched on the outcomes of the Informal Summit of EU Heads of State or Government in Salzburg, Austria on Sept. 19 and 20, the spokesman noted.
