CAIRO - 29 August 2018: Egypt's Cabinet agreed during its weekly meeting Wednesday under the leadership of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli a draft resolution on drawing up a strategy to develop Sinai peninsula..

The plan is expected to take place in coordination with the ministries concerned and technical groups in the fields of economic development, infrastructure and social development in line with the directives of the country's political leadership to draw up an integrated investment map covering industrial, agricultural and tourist fields.

The prime minister pointed out to President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi's directives to develop Sinai after the launch of the Sinai 2018 operation to establish integrated development projects.

During the meeting, deputy minister of Housing for Urban Development Assem El Gazzar presented a proposal on Sinai development in which he said the development plan aims at merging the peninsula residents in the fabric of the homeland, redistributing the country's population and luring more investments in various domains.
