CAIRO – 28 December 2017: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed with his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan in Abu Dhabi ways to enhance mutual cooperation.

The meeting came within the framework of regular consultations and coordination carried out between the two ministers to discuss various regional issues and challenges.

During the meeting, two ministers discussed the latest developments pertaining to Syria, Libya, Iraq, Yemen and the issue of Jerusalem, as well as the situation in the African continent and the Horn of Africa region.

Moreover, they both affirmed their rejection of all forms of foreign interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries and the significance of adopting comprehensive approaches and stances regarding regional challenges.

Sameh Shoukry also briefed his UAE counterpart on the latest developments related to the Renaissance Dam issue and the outcomes of his recent visit to Ethiopia, underscoring Egypt’s consistent policy to safeguard Egyptian water security.
