CAIRO – 22 October 2017: Egyptian parliament speaker Ali Abdel Aal announced that martyrs families’ compensation law will be ratified soon, as it is considered one of parliament’s “priorities” during the coming period.

Abdel Aal called on parliament members and committees to end all needed procedures for the law to be discussed and ratified.

During Sunday’s session of the parliament, Abdel Aal affirmed in his speech that Egypt will not be defeated by terrorism, and that the country will support the Egyptian Armed Forces and police until the end.

On Friday, October 22, 17 security officers were killed during clashes with militants in the Western Desert, Giza-Al Wahat Road.
