CAIRO – 19 October 2017: Following the Egyptian-sponsored inter-Palestinian reconciliation, Qatar seeks to ignite troubles within the Palestinian political community, a source inside Hamas movement told Egypt Today Thursday.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, further added that the mutual relations between Hamas movement and Qatar have been strained for the past several weeks, pointing out that Doha is putting pressure on Hamas by cutting out its funds to the Palestinian movement.

Under Egypt’s auspices, Palestine’s two main political rivals, Fatah and Hamas, signed a reconciliation accord Thursday in Cairo, which denotes that the Concession Government will have administration over the Rafah border before December 1.

Egypt, which hosted a series of meetings over the past two days between both parties, invited the Palestinian factions that signed the 2011 accord to hold their upcoming meeting next November 21 in Cairo.
