CAIRO – 22 August 2017: The Arab quartet are expected to recognize the Qatari opposition government in exile, in addition to providing it with sufficient political support from Cairo, Riyadh, Manama and Abu Dhabi, the media reports revealed.

Official and media circles in the Gulf believed that appearance of Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al-Thani on the Arab and regional arenas have significances which imply Sheikh Abdullah’s key role in settling down the Arab-Gulf crisis that sparked on June 7.

Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain expect that Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al-Thani would form a Qatari opposition government in Riyadh to be an alternative to Qatar’s Tamim regime, according to media reports published in Arab media outlets on Tuesday.

The Arab media reports cited that the interim opposition government’s main task is to correct false and baseless information circulated and spread by Al-Jazeera channel.

If these media reports are correct, the Qatari regime will change inevitably and the political scene will witness new Qatari players who will be able to make a difference in the Arab world.

According to the Gulf sources to the Arab media outlets published on Tuesday, many observers rule out the formation of a Qatari opposition government in exile, but others believe politics have no impossible expectations.

In a related context, observers of the Iranian affairs said that the Iranian policies are promoting to Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al-Thani as the ‘upcoming Emir of Qatar’ via the Iranian media outlets.

“Formation of a parallel government to Doha by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Thani is a step forward to solve the Gulf crisis,” Iranian media reported on Tuesday according to Wafd newspaper.
