CAIRO – 20 August 2017: Dubai's former police chief, Dhahi Khalfan, accused the Qatari regime of supporting and hosting the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) on its territory after its fall in Egypt, describing Qatar as “captive of the Mb terrorist group”.

In a series of tweets on Saturday, Khalfan said that the Qatari ruling family turned the country into the main source of terrorism in the world, since it harbors the Brotherhood members and leaders who plan and incite violence threatening the peace and security of the whole world.

He referred to the recent terrorist acts that hit different European cities in the last few weeks, stressing that those who carry out such crimes are actually relying on the Brotherhood’s ideology that incite collective killings of opponents and civilians.

The Arab anti-terrorism quartet, namely Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain, have cut their diplomatic ties with Doha over accusations of supporting terrorist organizations and individuals, as well as maintaining close ties with Iran, which the Arab quartet have accused of trying to destabilize the region by fomenting sectarian strife.
