JEDDAH - 5 August 2017: Head of Egypt's supreme council for regulation of media Makram Mohamed Ahmed said Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain have consensus on their efforts to counter terrorism and its sources of funding.

In a statement following a meeting of the information ministers of the bloc in the Saudi city of Jeddah, Ahmed added that the four countries will work on expanding their alliance to combat terrorism.

The meeting dealt with the importance of continuing joint media coordination to confront extremism and terrorism in all forms, through various media outlets, as well as addressing media campaigns calling for hate speech sponsored by the government of Qatar, Ahmed said.

Al Jazeera Channel file was discussed within its normal size, as the world will not stop when the channel stops, he added.
