CAIRO – 29 July 2017: In a series of tweets on Friday, Saudi Media Studies Center Head and Royal Advisor Saud Al-Qahtani confirmed his claim that Libya’s late President Muammar Gaddafi and Qatar’s Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani schemed to assassinate late Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz.

Qahtani challenged Qatar’s Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to deny publicly that they schemed to assassinate late Saudi King.

He continued to wonder and ask his followers, saying, “Why did Qatar’s regime pay billions of money to kill Libya’s late President Muammar Gaddafi and send their special troops to Libya?”

“It’s not secert that this scandal is the reason behind Hamad’s steping down to Tamim," he added.

Qahtani retweeted the leaked record between Gaddafi and Qatar’s Emir Hamad bin Khalifa about their trials to divide Saudi Arabia.

He went on to affirm that this record is 100% correct and Qatar’s leaders admitted that. Qatar justifies its actions saying that “lets’ forget the past. It was a mistake.”

In early June 2017, several countries, including Egypt, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, severed diplomatic ties with Doha over accusations of Qatar backing and funding terrorist groups.

The countries closed airspace and maritime ports to Doha transportation.
