CAIRO – 12 July 2017: The Egyptian Foreign Ministry asserted on Wednesday that terrorism is the major challenge and main hindrance to the development process.

Delivering Egypt's speech at the second regional conference on protecting human rights that wrapped up its activities here, Ambassador Wael Nasr-Addin, the deputy Director of Human Rights Sector of the Foreign Ministry, underlined the necessity of drying up the resources of terrorism funding.

Addressing the event, that was organized by the Arab League in cooperation with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the Egyptian diplomat added that the Arab countries are required to consolidate joint cooperation in the face of terrorism which prevents the citizens from enjoying their economic, social and cultural rights.
