CAIRO-9 March: Giza launched a wide medical campaign Thursday across the governorate’s villages to spot Hepatitis C (HCV) patients through a field survey in coordination with the department of Preventive Medicine in Ministry of Health, reported

Giza governor Kamal Al-Dali told Youm7 that the campaign provides free medical tests for the Villagers, adding that the campaign started with a Village called “Om khanan”, a home for 17 thousands citizen.


Al Dali said that any citizen infected with HCV is being referred to hospitals to continue medical tests, and receive the free cure provided by the government.


The campaign is accompanied by 14 moving and fixed equipped with all the needed Medical facilities, said Al Dali, adding that the campaign will move to other villages.


The deputy health minister Mohammed Azmi said that the campaign is part of the Ministry’s plan to discover HCV at an early stage, so it can be treated and cured easily.
