CAIRO – 28 June 2017: “The air forces thwarted an attempt by criminal elements to infiltrate the western border of the country,” according to a statement by the army spokesperson, Tamer al-Refaey, on Tuesday.

“Air forces attacked twelve 4x4 cars, loaded with arms, ammunition and other explosive materials, as part of their efforts to secure the state borders,” the statement reads.

“Upon an order of the general command of the air forces, a number of defense fighters took off to explore the border zone and follow the targets. They chased the fugitive criminals and brought them to justice,” the statement added.
