CAIRO- 27 June: There are huge amounts of Qatari money inside France that were used in shady deals and investments after bribing several French politicians, said French author Bérengère bonte.

Bonte- author of the book “French republic of Qatar”- added during a seminar entitled “Shady Qatari investments in france” held on Monday in the French capital Paris that Qatari money and its links with corrupted French politician had a role in the Arab Spring.

“The tiny Emirate sought to acquire a regional role through investments in several European countries”, said bonte. The French author added that Qatar induced many French politicians such as the former president Nicolas Sarkozy to serve its own agenda.

Bonte explained that Qatar took advantage of the financial crisis during the past decade by pumping money into the European market, targeting to have cronies inside the continent’s political theatre.
