CAIRO - 21 June 2017: Qatar’s insufficient endeavors to deny backing and funding terrorist groups will definitely fail, ex-Brotherhood leader Tarek Abul Saad said on Wednesday.

Abul Saad told Egypt Today that Qatar’s support to terror groups in the region has been proved and documented by many countries. “Qatar’s financial and media support to terrorism harms Arab societies,” Abul Saad added.

He asserted that repentance is Qatar’s only option to set itself clear from charges of supporting terrorism. “Qatar has to regret and stop funding terror groups to end the ongoing Arab row,” Abul Saad said.

Qatar’s Foreign Minister Mohamed Abdel Rahman Al-Thani underestimated demands declared by Egypt and Gulf states to resume diplomatic ties with Qatar. He alleged that the conflict’s main reason is “fragile.”

Egypt and several Arab and Islamic states severed ties with Qatar on charges of funding terrorist groups in the region.
