CAIRO – 21 June 2017: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry approved a proposal by Antiquity Minister to provide the Egyptian Museum at the Egyptian Embassy in Washington D.C. with a number of relics related to ancient Egyptian Coptic and Jewish ages, a Parliamentarian Alaa Abed said on Tuesday.

For his part, Abed added it is important to send these monuments to the museum in order to attract more U.S. tourists to Egypt.

He discovered during his visit earlier to the Egyptian Museum in the U.S. that there are no relics showcasing there related to these ancient ages.

Therefore, he called on Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives Ali Abdel-Aal to dispatch these relics quickly and to avoid routine process that may delay the transition.
