The CPYP began the campaign by producing a two-minute video on the pandemic and how to deal and fortify against it.

“Protect yourself, protect your country,” this is how the CPYP’s video started before highlighting “commitment” as the ultimate weapon against the outbreak of the virus.

The video stressed that although the new COVID-19 can be fatal, it is easy to defeat it through a number of precautions and practices, such as washing hands for at least 20 seconds, using hand sanitizers, staying home and avoid engaging with others if infected.

The Egyptian Health Ministry has stepped up precautionary measures in the affected governorates and intensified campaigns to spread awareness about infectious diseases.

The CPYP’s video further stresses on avoiding fake news and information as well as seeking accurate data regarding the virus and protection against it.

Speaker of the parliamentary body of the party, Engineer Musab Amin, has clarified that the campaign relies in the first place on promoting self-awareness and that it will keep highlighting information and fighting fake news and inaccurate data until the crisis is over.

Moreover, on Tuesday, the CPYP requested the approval of health and education ministries to launch the "White Coats" initiative with an aim to train 10,000 final-year medical and pharmacy students as auxiliary medical staff, with an aim to provide the necessary medical services during emergencies.

The auxiliary medical staff is intended to be a voluntary medical and health services provider with a mission to supply effectively and efficiently regular services to maintain the health and well-being of people in Egypt.

The ministry also raises its preparedness at all the country’s ports and airports to monitor the virus developments, receiving inquires from citizens about the virus through its hot-line 105 or 15335.
