CAIRO – 24 March 2020: The Egyptian Embassy in Berlin called on the Egyptian citizens wishing to return home to record their data at the embassy to be able to bring them back home.

The Egyptian Embassy in Berlin confirmed in a press statement that the deadline for registering the personal data isMarch 27, after which the embassy will start to take the necessary steps.

The Embassy of Egypt in Khartoum also announced a decision to extend the period of opening the "Ashkit" border crossing with Sudan on March 24, for citizens and trucks to return to Egypt.

The embassy appeals to the Egyptian citizensin Sudan, who wish to return to the homeland, to use this last opportunity, as the crossing will be closed on March 25, within the framework of the measures taken by the two countries to protect their citizens from the spread of the new coronavirus.
