CAIRO – 19 June 2017: Footage of Jordan’s King Abdullah II helping firemen and citizens in putting out a fire that broke out at the forested area of Al-Kamalyah on the outskirts of the capital Amman, went viral on social media on Sunday, praising the King’s courage.

The footage showed King Abdullah carrying a fire extinguisher on his shoulders, surrounded by young men rushing to put out the fire.

The King thanked all people and entities that participated in putting out the fire through his official account on Twitter.

“By the mettle of noble people of various military and civilian bodies, Kamalyah fire was extinguished yesterday. Thank you all for your efforts, God save you and save Jordan,” King Abdullah tweeted Sunday.

Al-Kamalyah is a green mountain range, with spring weather and heavy air, located at the edges of Jordanian royal palace.
