CAIRO, Jan 25 (MENA) - Zambian President Edgar Lungu lauded on Friday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's role as the chairman of the African Union.

Sisi is one of the continent's significant leaders, Lungu told an annual gathering for heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Lusaka, with the participation of Egypt's Ambassador Ahmed Mostafa.

Mostafa convoyed President Sisi's greetings to Lungu on the occasion of the new year.

The Zambian president hailed bilateral relations binding the two countries in different domains.
