CAIRO - 26 October 2019: Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark inaugurated on Saturday a new Coptic church with the name of the Martyr Demiana and the Martyr Abanoub in the Floresdorf region of Vienna.

During the opening ceremony, the Pope congratulated the Egyptian and Austrian Copts, and wished them more connection with the nation and the church. The ceremony was attended by a number of bishops and priests.

Pope Tawadros met with the Egyptian Ambassador in Vienna Omar Amer as part of his current pastoral and therapeutic visit to Austria.

The Pope carried out regular medical examinations at a medical center in Vienna and the results were reassuring.
