VICTORIA, Aug 14 (MENA) - Hong Kong police Wednesday arrested five people on charges of unlawful assembly, assaulting police officers and possessing weapons at the city's airport.

The protesters had held an officer and a journalist working for a Chinese newspaper before police came to their rescue.

The arrests were made after a second day of mass protests at the airport.

Hong Kong’s busy airport was the latest scene of wide-scale pro-democracy protests that have rocked the city for months.
