CAIRO, 22 July 2019: Egypt's Ambassador to Mauritius Aya Saad on Sunday held a ceremony marking the 67th anniversary of the July 23rd Revolution.

A galaxy of senior officials, including Mauritius’ prime minister and defense minister, attended the ceremony alongside key public figures, according to a press statement by the Foreign Ministry.

In her address to commemorate the historical occasion, Saad underscored the achievements of the revolution, hailing the efforts and sacrifices made by Egypt to combat terrorism.

She highlighted the national mega projects and economic reforms that are being carried out by the Egyptian government to raise standards of living and enhance development at all levels.

The ceremony was also reportedly attended by a host of lawmakers, diplomats, the Secretary General of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA), key media professionals, members of the Egyptian community in Mauritius, among others.
