CAIRO, July 17 (MENA) - The 50th session of the Arab Information Ministers Council kicked off here on Wednesday under Saudi Minister of Information Turki bin Abdullah Shabana.

Attending are Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit and Arab information ministers and representatives along with members of Arab media organisations and unions.

The Arab ministers will discuss 18 topics atop of which comes the Palestinian issue in light of the Israeli violations against the Palestinian people.

They will also discuss an Arab media action plan for giving a true image about Arabs and Muslims abroad.

The ministers will also review a pan-Arab media strategy and the role of media in fighting terrorism.
