Egyptian embassy in Washington celebrates National Day

WASHINGTON - 12 July 2019: The Egyptian embassy here held a celebration on the occasion of July 23rd Revolution.

Attending the event were Egyptian Minister of Tourism Rania al Mashaat and US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross and a large number of Arab and foreign diplomats.

Egyptian Ambassador Yasser Reda said in his address at the ceremony that July 23rd revolution is an important event in Egypt's history as it paved the way for achieving independence.

July 23rd revolution of 1952 also inspired other liberation movements in Africa and Latin America, he added.

The Egyptian economy is achieving progress in different sectors, he said, adding that success of investments in Egypt is attributed to the efforts exerted by the army and police for establishing peace and security.
