Pope Tawadros: We pray for peace, prosperity

CAIRO, July 3 (MENA) - Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese stressed that the church is always praying for peace and prosperity to prevail the world.

He made the remarks during a meeting on Wednesday with President of the United Nations General Assembly María Fernanda Espinosa at St Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral.

Espinosa said harmony among religions and creeds is vital for creating sound and sustainable societies.

She commended the efforts exerted by the pope to realize peace and common understanding among the people.
