CAIRO – 22 June 2019: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received Saturday morning his Mozambican counterpart Filipe Nyusi as they held bilateral talks along with a second session that included high-profile delegations from the two countries.

The meeting that took place at Itihadiya Presidential Palace in Cairo, witnessed inking two memorandums of understanding related to the political relations between both countries, along with agreeing on the exemption of VIP passport holders from entry visas.

The memorandums were in the fields of agriculture and food.

In a Joint press conference for the two presidents, Sisi offered condolences to the Mozambican government and people for victims of the hurricanes that hit it recently, stressing Egypt's full support for the reconstruction of the affected areas.

Sisi pointed out that their discussions were constructive in various political, economic and military fields, stressing the determination to increase the volume of trade exchange and increase the training programs, saying that a number of issues were discussed, such as political and diplomatic consultation, agriculture and food security.
