CAIRO, June 16 (MENA) - Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki left for Paris on Sunday leading a high-ranking delegation on a several days' official visit to France.

During the visit, Zaki will attend the International Paris Air Show which is the key event in the world market for the international aerospace and aircraft industry.

On the sidelines of the event, he will hold talks with senior military officials from different countries to discuss means of boosting military cooperation.

He will also discuss a number of issues of mutual interest between Egypt and France at the regional and international levels along with the latest developments in the Middle East.

The International Paris Air Show, which opens on Monday and runs for a week. is an international aviation and aerospace exhibition, which is organized every two years by the SIAE, a subsidiary of GIFAS, the French Aerospace Industries Association. It is one of the oldest and largest air shows in the world.

At the exhibition, in France's Le Bourget, the newest technologies of the aerospace industry and related equipment, such as aircraft engines, satellite navigation technology, aircraft cabins and seats and weapons systems are presented. Over the years this show has become one of the most important international platforms in the industry.
