CAIRO - 16 June 2019: Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Saeed al-Assar said Sunday that President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi attaches great importance to carrying out contractor work in Arab and African countries.

Assar pointed out that Egypt has been able to regain its Arab and African role due to the huge achievements accomplished in the country since June 2014.

This came during Egypt Builders forum which referred to the projects carried out by Egypt contractors in Africa, hoping that Egypt's chairmanship of the African Union in 2019 would strengthen relations with African countries.

The minister also said that 20 companies and 17 factories affiliated with the Military Production Ministry are mainly working for meeting the Armed Forces' needs of equipment and securing products for civilians at competitive prices and a good quality.

He added that a contractor company affiliated with the Military Production Ministry was set up 3years ago and is now involved in LE 15-million projects.

The minister hoped that more contractor projects will be carried out in the Arab and African markets within the coming period.

ِِِAbout the ministry's achievements and future work, Assar cited the just-finished restoration of an Awqaf Ministry-affiliated school in Greece and plans to partner with the Arab Contractors to carry out projects in Tanzania.

He talked about current cooperation with Berlaus' Maz company to produce chassis and Germany's Arch-D company to produce marble alternatives.
