Cairo sees hot weather 1st day of Eid, records 34°C

CAIRO - 5 June 2019: Meteorological experts said Wednesday, which marks the first day of Eid al-Fitr (the Feast of Breaking the Fast) is expected to witness a hot weather, with Cairo recording highs of 34°C.

Rains are expected to fall in southern Upper Egypt, Southern Sinai and Red Sea mountains area, while wind is active on the southern parts of the country.

Temperatures are expected to be as follows:

Cairo: 34°C - 24°C
Alexandria: 31°C - 23°C
Mersa Matruh: 27°C - 22°C
Sohag: 43°C - 27°C
Qena: 44°C – 28°C
Aswan: 46°C – 30°C
