ALEXANDRIA, Egypt, May 29 (MENA) – A number of Egyptian students have won awards at the 2019 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), which was held from 12 to 17 May 2019, in Arizona, US.

Bibliotheca Alexandrina detailed in a statement that The Egyptian students who won at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Science and Engineering Fair (BASEF) represent Egypt in the international competition with five projects

The students won the first five places in the following scientific categories: material sciences, environmental and earth sciences, software systems, environmental engineering, and biochemistry.

The fair is the world’s largest international pre-college science competition, which gives more than 1,700 students the opportunity to gather and exchange ideas and showcase their scientific projects.

It is worth mentioning that the Bibliotheca Alexandrina has been taking part in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair since 2008, and many Egyptian students were granted major awards from 2013 to 2017.
