CAIRO - 16 May 2019: Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security Committee of the Bahraini House of Representatives lauded the positive results of Bahraini king Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s visit to Egypt.

Khalifa’s visit aimed to boost the two countries' joint efforts and the mutual cooperation between them on all fronts.

During the visit,President Abdel Fatah al Sisi and the Bahraini king affirmed their willingness to solve all suspended problems in the region.

The committee stressed the significance of king Khalifa’s meeting with President Sisi that came within the framework of the historical brotherly relations between the two peoples and as part of a set of visits recently paid by Khalifa to Egypt.

“The Bahraini leadership appreciates Egypt's role in supporting Arab and regional issues,” Bahraini News Agency (BNA).

BNA further stressed the significance of the bilateral relations between Bahrain and Egypt on the political front where the kingdom represents a strategic axis to Egypt and vice versa.

Furthermore, Khalifa and Sisi discussed different ways to boost economic relations between the two countries, bearing into account the successful Bahraini firms in Egypt and the limitless opportunities the Egyptian national projects offer to Bahraini companies to broaden their investments in Egypt.

Also, President Sisi and King Khalifa agreed on the necessity of unifying their utmost efforts to combat terrorism and illegal immigration.
