CAIRO - 14 May 2019: The body of the Palestinian citizen, Zaki Mubarak, who died in a Turkish prison, arrived in Cairo International Airport on Monday to be transferred to Gaza Strip.

The deceased’s family insists he was tortured to death and that is evident from the injuries and bruises on his body. The family refutes Turkey’s claims he had committed suicide in prison. The Palestinian national was detained over charges of espionage on behalf of the United Arab Emirates, as reported by Russia Today.

Mubarak, 56, had disappeared in Turkey for 17 days as he was there for business purposes before Turkish authorities announced his arrest on April 22. His brother Zakareya Mubarak accused the Turkish regime of abducting him on April 3, according to Akhbar El Youm.
