CAIRO - 13 May 2019: Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced Sunday a terror attack that targeted a Catholic church in Dabolo in northern Burkina Faso; the attack killed six people and injured others, according to a statement issued by the ministry.

The statement added that Egypt stressed that these atrocities targeting innocent people and places of worship will not succeed in achieving their goals, asserting that Burkina Faso will overcome the ordeal.

Also, Al Azhar denounced the terror attack and stressed its refusal to such crimes, pointing out that religions that call for peace and love cannot be taken as a justification for terrorism.

Al Azhar offered condolences to the Burkinabe people and government, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
