CAIRO – 4 May 2019: The Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs, Nabila Makram met on Saturday Minister of Antiquities, Khaled Elannany, and Minister of Culture Inas Abdeldayem to discuss Canadian member of parliament Sherif Sabawy’s bill to the legislature to recognize the month of July as Egyptian Heritage Month.

The meeting aims how to benefit from bill 106 for 2019, that is being discussed at the moment in the Canadian Parliament of Ontario which declares July to be Egyptian heritage month in Canada. Also to lay out a plan for advertising Egypt and archeological discoveries and Egyptian culture in Canada once the bill is approved.

Makram also communicated with Sherif Sabawy, the first Egyptian elected Parliament Member in Canada, Member of Provincial Parliament of Ontario for Mississauga-Erin Mills who has introduced the Bill with gratitude for his efforts to serve his home country as well as the benefits of the previously mentioned bill after being approved by the Parliament.
