KAMPALA, April 28 (MENA) - President of the High Islamic Council in Cameroon Sheikh Oumarou Malam Djibing praised President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's support for African issues with the aim to fulfill aspirations of the African peoples.

He stressed that Egypt is a staunch supporter of African issues.

Egypt's chairmanship of the African Union this year has given impetus to inter-African and Egyptian-African cooperation, especially in the religious domains, Djibing added in statements to MENA.

He was speaking on the fringe of the forum of East and Central Africa religious institutions and the International Muslim Youth conference, which wrapped up on Saturday in the Ugandan capital, Kampala.

"We never feel as foreigners in Egypt, our second homeland where we receive all forms of care," Djibing said.

Djibing added he highly values the role of Egypt's religious institutions, topped by Al Azhar.
