CAIRO – 26 April 2019: Minister of Religious Endowment Mohammed Gomaa said Friday that Egypt and Sinai will forever be “the graveyard of invaders and whoever threatens its security.”

During the Friday Prayers at the Youth City Mosque in Arish, Gomaa expressed much appreciation for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to defend their land, pointing out that Sinai is a responsibility in the necks of all Egyptians.

The minister also added that every Egyptian has a duty to preserve their homeland, because this is the essence of all religions.

He further stressed that terrorism is more dangerous than foreign enemies.

Earlier this month, the minister issued a ministerial decision on April 1 changing the name of the Hassan al-Banna Mosque in Nasser, Beni Suef governorate, to Al-Huda Mosque. Banna is the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood.
